Program Overview

Town Home Schoolhouse is designed to support and strengthen homeschooling families by offering specialized, once-a-week extracurricular enhancements for students ages 6 through 18. Instead of a comprehensive core curriculum, our carefully selected classes bridge the gap between high-energy application and focused desk work, bringing learning to life through movement, teamwork, and sensory-engaging activities. Rooted in the counsel of Philippians 4:8, our mission is to cultivate an edifying atmosphere focused on things that are pure, lovely, virtuous, and praiseworthy. By providing this socially interactive learning environment, we strive to build faith and character, strengthen each child's confidence, foster critical thinking, and inspire a lifelong love of discovery.

About Us

Meet the Townzen Family

We are a close-knit family of five, along with our beloved mini-farm of animals. Blessed with a wonderful husband since 2007, I am a proud mother to three children whose age range spans ten years. Our family life is centered around faith, learning, and the unique, multifaceted dynamic of managing both our home and our small, beloved menagerie.

Townzen Family

Faith • Family • Learning

Meet Mrs. Juliet

My life is deeply rooted in my faith, which is my central guiding principle and first true passion. I am dedicated to loving the Lord God, diving deep into His Word, and joyfully sharing the unconditional love of Jesus with others. It is my heart's desire to play an active role in growing the Kingdom of God, ensuring His love is reflected in everything I do.

My other greatest passions are family and teaching. I bring over 27 years of diverse educational experience to my role at Town Home Schoolhouse. My teaching journey encompasses a long career in dance instruction, co-owning and operating Rowe Performing Arts with my mother, and over seven years of homeschooling my own children. Educating children has always been a calling close to my heart. Following my mother's retirement in 2020, I prayerfully stepped into full-time homeschooling and family life.

As a passionate advocate for Christian education, my perspective is shaped by both attending Christian school and being homeschooled myself. My personal journey with dyslexia has given me a deep appreciation for creative, audible, and multisensory learning methods. It is my goal to ensure every child finds joy, confidence, and connection through discovery.

When I am not teaching or caring for my family, I enjoy creative expression through singing on the praise and worship team, writing short stories and poetry, cooking, painting, and sewing.

The Advantage of
Our Small Classroom Setting

At Town Home Schoolhouse, we intentionally limit our class sizes to 12 to 14 students. This purposeful design allows us to step away from an institutional feel and cultivate a close-knit, family-like atmosphere where true friendships take root and families build lasting community.

Because we view every child as a unique creation designed by God, our approach extends far beyond academic instruction. A smaller, intimate setting gives our teachers the freedom to truly know each student, allowing us to gently guide their character and nurture their inner growth. We practice kindness, patience, and respect daily—not merely as classroom rules, but as a way to honor God and reflect His love to one another.

Ultimately, we believe that children flourish academically when their spiritual and emotional needs are also met. By nurturing both the mind and the spirit, we provide a safe, encouraging space where students can confidently grow in their knowledge, understand their God-given value, and walk boldly in His ways.
